• Dr. Akshat Malik is a highly specialized Head & Neck cancer surgeon. He is one of the few surgeons who hold a M Ch degree in Head & Neck surgery.

• He completed his Masters in Surgery (MS) from Delhi University. Thereafter, he was trained in the Head & Neck cancer surgery from the highly coveted Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai where he completed M Ch in Head & Neck surgery. For six years, he learnt and refined the art and craft of managing all spectrums of head and neck cancers in a multi-disciplinary and evidenced based manner.

• He was selected for a competitive Royal College of Surgeon’s senior clinical fellowship in advanced head & neck surgery from the prestigious Imperial College, London. There he got an international perspective into managing head and neck cancers and also enhanced his exposure and finesse in surgery.

•  As a part of his fellowship he was part of several robotic surgeries and also got an opportunity to perform them independently.

• He has been part of various clinical trials and has published extensively in several international journals.

•  He has been an invited reviewer for many prestigious international and national journals.

•  He has also contributed chapters to various authoritative books in the specialty.

• He has been actively involved in academics and in training surgeons in head and neck cancer surgery both in India as well as in London.

• He has been a proponent for increasing cancer awareness amongst general public and has helped train specialists, medical officers as well as auxiliary healthcare workers in cancer screening.
