• Dr. Arul Furtado trained in CVTS at SCTIMST, Trivandrum and was an Associate Professor at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bangalore.

• This was followed by Fellowships in Cardiac Surgery in USA - at the Brigham and Women's Hospital - A Harvard Medical School Affiliate and at Emory University in Atlanta.

• His areas of specialization include: Arterial revascularization in coronary artery bypass surgery, Robotic Cardiac Surgery, Minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS), Trans catheter valve replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Aortic surgery and aortic aneurysm surgery - Open and Endovascular Stenting (EVAR), Valve repair, Heart failure surgery - LVAD and transplants.

•  In addition he has extensive experience in VATS and Robotic Surgery for lung cancer.
