List of Treatments
Carotid Endarterectomy: A carotid endarterectomy is a surgical treatment to remove plaque, an accumulation of fatty deposits that causes a carotid artery to narrow.
Cerebral Angioplasty: Similar to a common cardiology technique, cerebral angioplasty is performed on the brain to unblock partly blocked vertebral and carotid arteries in the neck as well as blood vessels within the brain.
Cerebral or Brain Aneurysm Treatment: A weak or thin area on a brain artery that balloons or bulges out and fills with blood is referred to as a cerebral aneurysm (also known as a brain aneurysm). The neurosurgeon uses a small metal clip that is permanently clamped on the aneurysm to seal it after it is found during surgery.
Endovascular Coiling: Endovascular coiling is a form of endovascular embolization used to block blood flow into an aneurysm. It is a procedure in which the surgeon uses a catheter, which is a long, thin tube that is inserted into the damaged cerebral artery. X-rays aid in the placement of the catheter in the artery.
Deep Brain stimulation: In this surgery, electrodes are inserted into specific brain regions. These electrodes generate electrical impulses that control the aberrant impulses. A few brain cells and substances are also regulated by these electrical impulses. A pacemaker-like device that will be implanted beneath the skin in the upper chest area regulates the rate of stimulation.
Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR): It is a minimally invasive surgery in which, without making an open incision, surgeons can treat an aneurysm using endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR). More and more aneurysm types may be treated with this minimally invasive method by the surgeons.
Brain Tumor Surgery: The surgical excision and removal of a tumor or abnormal growth in the brain and its surrounding tissues is known as brain tumor surgery. The treatment of brain tumors frequently involves brain tumor surgery.
Schizophrenia Treatment: Schizophrenia is a persistent brain condition. Delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, difficulty thinking, and a lack of motivation are all possible signs of schizophrenia. Treatment methods include medications prescribed by the psychiatrist.
Artificial Disc Replacement: In artificial disc replacement, the prosthetic, or artificial disc, is placed in place of the worn or damaged disc material between the vertebrae.
Degenerative Spine Disorders: Degenerative spine diseases cause the spine's natural structure and function to gradually deteriorate over time. They may develop from tumors, infections, or arthritis, but they are typically brought on by aging.
Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF): This is a surgery to remove a herniated or degenerative disc in the neck. An incision is made in the throat area to reach and remove the disc. A graft is inserted to fuse together the bones above and below the disc.
Arthritis and Pain Management: Arthritis is the medical term for swelling or joint inflammation. It encompasses more than 100 ailments that have an impact on connective tissues, joints, and surrounding tissues. Surgery for arthritis can aid in repairing or replacing a damaged joint. By doing this, it can ease discomfort and enhance the performance of the damaged joint.
Spinal Decompression: It is a procedure used in orthopedics or neurosurgery to connect two or more vertebrae. This technique stops any movement between the fused vertebrae and can be done at any level of the spine.
Ankle-Brachial Index: The ankle-brachial index (ABI) is a non-invasive technique for determining vascular status. It comprises the ratio of the ankle's systolic blood pressure to the upper extremity's systolic blood pressure.
Arthrodesis: Arthrodesis is a surgical procedure in which the orthopedic surgeon straightens the injured joint physically before removing the cartilage and stabilizing the bone to allow the bones to heal together.
Deformity Correction using Growth Modulation: Growth modulation is a technique for correcting deformities by altering or changing typical developmental patterns. By selectively reversibly binding a portion of the physis to improve limb alignment, angular anomalies can be corrected more quickly.
Epilepsy: A brain illness called epilepsy is characterized by recurrent seizures. Focused Resection and Lesionectomy are often considered surgical treatments for epilepsy.
