• Dr Deb Kumar Ray is a renowned practicing surgeon in Kolkata, India since year 2001 after his return from the UK being trained in Solent centre for digestive diseases, Portsmouth.UK.

• After obtaining MS degree from Jabalpur, MP(India), he got vast training in the UK for 7 years in the field of Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic surgery.

• Currently he is attached to multispecialty hospital in Salt Lake City and has performed more than 10000 laparoscopic procedures and complex G I Surgery like Whipple's operation, gastrectomy and laparoscopic colectomies.

• He also practices at AMRI Hospitals in Salt Lake, Kolkata.

• He completed MBBS from Calcutta University in 1988 and MS - General Surgery from Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya in 1993
