Prof. Dr. Erik Hohmann is a well-known Orthopedic Consultant and Trauma Surgeon has extensive experience in the field of Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine and Sports Injuries.
He holds a PhD in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and a higher academic medical doctorate in
Orthopedic Sports Medicine Biomechanics. Worked as a professor of Orthopedic Surgery for the University of Queensland and as a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon at Rockhampton Hospital, Australia with a focus on arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine and complex knee and shoulder reconstructions.
Dr. Erik Hohmann is an instructor for arthroscopic surgery for the German Speaking Association (Arthroscopic Surgery (AGA)), serves as an editor of the Journal of Arthroscopy & Related Research and also the review board for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery (JAOOS).
Published over 200 journal articles, 10 book chapters and 5 books in the field of Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
He is a German and South African educated and trained Consultant with fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and has both national & international publications to his name.
Over the last 18 years he has been a team physician for various professional and semiprofessional sporting teams and individual athletes.
