• He is also a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

• He worked as a visiting professor at AI-Arab University Libya and Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States.

• He taught at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore.

• In 1976, he worked as a Neurology Consultant at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
