Dr. Hakan Seckin specializes in spinal surgeries, including cervical and lumbar disc replacements, brain tumor surgeries, and spinal abscess treatments. He is also skilled in treating complex spinal conditions and brain tumors through advanced surgical techniques.
Spinal abscess surgery is necessary when an infection in the spinal cord or surrounding tissue creates an abscess, causing severe pain or neurological issues. Dr. Seckin performs this surgery to drain the abscess and relieve pressure on the spinal cord, often in combination with antibiotic therapy.
Lumbar disc replacement is a procedure where a damaged disc in the lower back (lumbar spine) is replaced with an artificial one. Dr. Seckin suggests this surgery for patients with severe lower back pain, herniated discs, or degenerative disc disease that has not responded to conservative treatments.
A cervical disc replacement involves removing a damaged disc in the neck (cervical spine) and replacing it with an artificial disc. Dr. Seckin recommends this surgery for patients suffering from chronic neck pain, arm pain, or nerve compression due to disc degeneration or injury.
