At Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, she performed the first hysteroscopic
surgery.
She specialises in all major and complex gynaecological procedures, including vaginal, open abdominal, laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy.
She graduated from Lucknow University with an MBBS in 1976, a DGO in 1978, and an MD in 1980.
She is a member of the Indian Council of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as the International Medical Sciences Academy (FIMSA).
She is a Life Member of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of India (FOGSI), the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE), and the International Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ISGE) (ISGE).
She is also a Life Member of the Delhi Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AOGD), the National Association of Reproductive and Child Health of India (NARCHI), and the Indian Menopause Society (IMS).
