Heย for 31yrs earlier has downed the posistion of Chairman & Sr. Consultant, Department of Renal Transplant Surgery, at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
He is leading the Transplant services at Artemis Health Sciences Institute, Gurgaon, Haryana.
He was involved as the Head of Renal Transplant Services at Noida Medicare Center, Noida, U.P.He has been the prominent one in starting successful Renal Transplant Surgery Programs at Govt. Registered Centers in 3 States.
He is also a highly knowledgable Advisor, (Organ Transplantation), to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India from 2014 & is a part in developing the National Organ Transplant Programme (NOTP) & National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO).
He is a essential member of Advisory and Expert groups to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, for decisions relating to Transplantation, dialysis and kidney Disease.
In 2004, the Hon'ble Delhi supreme court appointed him by name, as a member of a High Powered committee comprising the Health Secretary, Govt. of India, the Director General of Health Services et al. to review the provisions of the Transplantation of Human Organ Act (1994) and itโs Rules.
His involvement during this was integral and considerable. Among his various suggestions was one to line up a National transplant Programme. This is now operational and in its second phase of implementation.
He is Member to different expert Committees in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.They include National Organ Transplant Programme, setting up of Stand - alone Dialysis centers, training of Dialysis Physicians, Transplant Surgeons and Transplant Coordinators.
Other committees include policy making on Medical Tourism & Movement of Health care Personnel at W.H.O & GATT.He is member of Expert Core Group, National Patient Safety Implementation Framework for India (2018-2025).The Director General Health Services had appointed ย as the Organizing Secretary for the public events of the World Organ Donation Day, held in Nov 2010, at India Gate, New Delhi, with the aim of propagating the message of Organ Donation.
His services had been requested by the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, for training their staff and fostering a Transplant Programme at that Hospital during a Holistic manner.
This programme is now successfully underway, and represents the best of P.P.P.He has been Chairman of Medico-Legal Committees for the India Society of Transplantation (ISOT), Delhi Nephrology Society (DNS), The Association of Surgeons of India (Delhi) and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for the past decade and has helped steer more than 70 Medico-Legal complaints against Doctors & Institutions to safety.
He had been unanimously elected President of the Association of Surgeon of India โ Delhi State Chapter 2016-17.
