• Dr. Kalathil completed his graduation from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, followed by MS in surgery and FRCS from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He has also trained at leading medical institutes in Italy.   

• He is among some of the most experienced oncoplastic and reconstructive breast cancer surgeons. He performs complex organ-preserving surgeries, sarcoma surgeries, GI malignancies and other radio-guided surgeries such as occult lesion localization and sentinel node biopsy techniques.  

• Dr. Kalathil is an expert at surgically removing early and advanced gynecological cancers and peritoneal malignancies.   

• He is an expert at total peritonectomy and HIPEC procedures and heads few oncology centers specialized in these procedures.
