Dr. A.R. Kesavan is offering the following treatment procedures:

  • Acetabular Fixation: The fracture in the ball-and-socket hip joint's socket section is known as an acetabular fracture. They happen less frequently than fractures of the upper femur or femoral head. Open reduction surgery is a surgical treatment for acetabular fractures.
  • Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair/Excision: Arthroscopic meniscus repair is a less invasive surgical method. During this treatment, a tool called an arthroscope is placed through a small incision near the afflicted knee.
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis: It is a chronic, progressive disease that affects the fingers, wrists, feet, and ankles in particular, causing severe deformity and immobility by inflaming the joints.
  • Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF): This is a surgery to remove a herniated or degenerative disc in the neck. An incision is made in the throat area to reach and remove the disc. A graft is inserted to fuse together the bones above and below the disc.
  • Knee Arthroplasty: A knee replacement, commonly known as knee arthroplasty or a complete knee replacement, is an operation to repair an arthritis-damaged knee. The kneecap and the caps on the ends of the bones that make up the knee joint are made of metal and plastic.
  • Joint Replacement Surgery: In this surgery, parts of an arthritic or diseased joint are surgically removed and replaced with prosthetic devices made of metal, plastic, or ceramic during a total joint replacement. The prosthesis is intended to mimic the motion of a healthy, normal joint.
  • Arm Fracture Open Reduction: During an open reduction, orthopedic surgeons reposition the pieces of the fractured bone surgically so that the bones are back in their proper alignment.
  • Shoulder Resurfacing: Resurfacing is a form of shoulder arthroplasty that includes replacing the humeral joint surface with a metal covering, or cap, thereby maintaining the bone of the proximal section of the humerus.
  • Lower Femoral Osteotomy: In a lower femoral osteotomy, the end of the femur is surgically fractured, changing the form of the bone. The proximal (upper) end of the thigh bone, commonly known as the femur, is cut and aligned during this procedure.
  • Complicated Trauma Surgery: Complex trauma surgery focuses on the injuries induced by impact force, especially on the joints. An orthopedic trauma surgeon specializes in the treatment of complicated fractures, shattered bones, and other injuries induced by traumatic occurrences.
  • Artificial Disc Replacement: In artificial disc replacement, the prosthetic, or artificial disc, is placed in place of the worn or damaged disc material between the vertebrae.
  • Revision Hip Replacement: A total hip replacement (THR) reoperation is referred to as a hip revision (sometimes known as a "revision hip replacement"). The prosthesis that is inserted during the initial surgery is completely or partially replaced during this subsequent procedure.ย
  • Cemented Total Hip Replacement: A cemented hip replacement employs a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) bone cement to bond the implant surface to the bone. The bone cement generates a grout and anchors the implant by serving as an interlocking surface between the implant and the bone rather than just bonding the implant to the bone.
  • ACL Reconstruction: ACL repair is surgery to rebuild the ligament in the core of the knee. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) joins the shin bone (tibia) to the thigh bone (femur). A tear of this ligament might cause the knee to give way during physical exercise, most typically during side-step or crossover motions.
  • Patellofemoral Replacement: Partial knee replacements like patellofemoral replacements resurface a section of the knee. For patients with modest damage to the bone and cartilage on the underside of the kneecap, the surgery serves as an alternative to complete knee replacement.
  • Sciatica Treatment: Sciatica refers to discomfort, weakness, numbness, or tingling in the leg. It is caused by damage or pressure on the sciatic nerve. The two primary surgical options for sciatica are discectomy and laminectomy. During this treatment, the surgeon removes the part that exerts pressure on the sciatic nerve, whether it's a herniated disk, a bone spur, or anything else
  • High Tibial Osteotomy: An operation called a high tibial osteotomy realigns the knee joint. By maintaining damaged joint tissue, this procedure may help certain patients with knee arthritis delay or avoid the need for a partial or full knee replacement.
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery: Minimally invasive surgeries are those surgical procedures that do not require any kind of major incisions in the body. To perform the procedure, tiny surgical instruments are placed into additional incisions.
