Her areas of expertise include Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting, Coronary and Non-Coronary Interventions, Angioplasty and Stenting, Interventional procedures and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
Lifetime achievement award by Ex. President APJ Abdul Kalam for contribution in the field of Cardiology, 2008 Master teacher award by IMA, 2010 She is the 1st Lady Interventional Cardiologist in India, 1st Lady Executive Chairperson of World Congress on Interventional Cardiology, 1st Lady Dean of Indian College of Physicians and 2nd Lady Interventional Cardiologist in the World.
She participated in various academic activities of city and state chapters of API throughout the country. As a Dean of ICP, she has introduced the concept of ‘Rural CME’.
