About Doctor DR. MATTHEW TYTHERLEIGH

Professor Sir Walter Bodmer and he conducted their research at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine in
Oxford.
He specializes in thyroid, parathyroid, pancreatic, adrenal gland tumor surgery, and endocrine and gastrointestinal problems.
He is nationally and internationally recognized for his expertise in complex minimally invasive procedures including laparoscopic adrenalectomy, thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, pancreatectomy, colorectal resections, Achalasia, and anti-reflux surgery.
His thesis, "The Antibody Treatment of Colorectal Cancer," earned him a Doctorate in Medicine (MD). Dr. Matthew spent his Colorectal Fellowship Year at the Concord Hospital in Sydney, Australia, under Professor Les Bokey. He was given the Covidien Laparoscopic Colorectal Travelling Fellowship three years later, which he spent at the same hospital.
Dr. Matthew has played a key role in enhancing Guest safety and clinical governance, as well as implementing a number of initiatives, such as a better rehabilitation programme..
As a pioneer in surgical training, he regularly hosts workshops for laparoscopic and endocrine surgery training for national and international surgeons to enhance patient safety in this field.
