He later did his M.Ch (Magister Chirurgiae) in Cardio Vascular and Thoracic surgery from The Christian Medical College, Vellore (The Tamil Nadu Dr. M G R Medical University, Tamil Nadu). 
• His area of special interest and expertise include congenital cardiac surgeries (neonatal and infantile).
• He also has a keen interest in paediatric valve repairs, cyanotic congenital heart disease, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support, assist devices and heart transplants.
