About Doctor DR. PALLAB CHATTOPADHYAY

• Dr Pallab Chatterjee, MBBS, DCH, MD, DNB is a Consultant Pediatrician with special interest in respiratory diseases in children.
• He passed his ICSE exam from St Mary’s Orphanage and Day School, Dum Dum in 1981 and his ISC exam from St Joseph’s College in
  1983.
• Thereafter he joined Calcutta Medical College from where he passed his MBBS in May 1988. He completed his DCH from the University College of Medicine, Calcutta in January 1992.
• He then completed his MD in Pediatrics from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in July 1996 and passed his Diplomate of National Board Examination in Pediatrics, New Delhi in December 1996.
• He trained in Pediatric Pulmonology and Bronchoscopy at Institute of Child Health, Chennai and then took further training under Prof Robert Wood of Cincinnati Children's Hospital, USA.
• He is currently attached to AMRI Hospitals, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Columbia Asia Hospital, CMRI Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Medica Super specialty Hospital, Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences and Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Center as a Consultant in Pediatrics and Neonatology.
• His area of special interest is respiratory problems in children.
• He is a life member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, the National Neonatology Forum and the Indian College of Maternal and Child Health.
• He is also life members of the Growth and Development Chapter, the Infectious disease Chapter, the Medicolegal Chapter and the Hemato-oncology Chapters of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.
• Some of his services include Chickenpox Treatment, Adolescent Medicine, Viral Fever Treatment, Bronchial Asthma Treatment, Vaccination/ Immunization Newborn Jaundice Lower/Upper Respiratory Tract Infection Treatment, etc.

• Calvert Silver Medal for Proficiency in Medicine, session 1987 – 88, Calcutta University.
• Sutherland Silver Medal for Proficiency in Forensic and State Medicine, Session 1986 - 87, Calcutta University.
• Training in Pediatric Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy: institute of Child Health, Chennai 2005
