Dr. Prashanth Vaijynath

• He is a Gold Medallist from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI, Chandigarh) for his MS (Surgery) in 1993 and M.Ch. CTVS with honors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

• Before joining Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, he worked as faculty in AIIMS for 10 years and was Senior Consultant & Director of Academic Program at Dr K M Cherian Heart Foundation, Chennai. 

• He was Hon. Professor at the Heart Institute (INCOR) & Zerbini Foundation Sao Paulo Brazil – One of the most important and pioneering centers in the world with experience of 1.5 lac open-heart surgeries since 1958.

• He was Hon Consultant at Al-Bassel Heart Institute, Damascus, Syria, and was a visiting consultant at the Penang University Hospital, Penang, Malaysia. 

• He was also Hon. Consultant, University of Ecuador, Hospital Carlos Andrade Mann, Quito, Ecuador.

• Has successfully performed more than 10,000 Beating Heart Surgeries and vast exposure in Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery, Valve Surgery, Valve Repair, Congenital Heart Surgery, and Heart Transplant Surgeon

• He has completed his fellowships in many foreign countries with a good track record
