• He was named a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Genetics in 1990.
• style="font-size:11pt">He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics (FACMG), as well as the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Ireland and London, and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the United Kingdom.
• He has taught at the undergraduate (MB and BSc) and postgraduate levels (MSc, MD & PhD).
• He established and directs the ‘Indo-UK Genetic Education Forum.'
• He founded and directs a worldwide genetics and genomics teaching and training program in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America through educational seminars and the formation of professional networks of collaboration.
