Dr. Raghuprasad Varma

• After completing his undergraduate medical education at the Grant Medical College, JJ Group of Hospitals under the auspices of the University of Mumbai, he pursued a master's degree in orthopedics at the Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences in Mumbai. 

• Additionally, he is a Diplomate of the National Board of Orthopaedics, New Delhi, in the field of Orthopaedics. 

• His interest in spine surgery sparked his desire to pursue it as a super-specialty in 2001. 

• He has completed multiple fellowships in advanced spine training at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital in Oswestry, the University Hospital in Cardiff, and Stanmore in the United Kingdom, as well as the Advanced Trauma Center in Leipzig, Germany. 

• He also worked in Singapore's National University Hospital's Spine Department. 

• He was awarded a Global Outreach Fellowship to attend the 2005 Scoliosis Research Society meeting in Miami, Florida, USA. 

• He has served as a faculty member at a number of regional and national spine meetings. 

• He has performed approximately 1,000 spine surgeries for a variety of different etiologies, including Degenerative Spinal Disorders, Adult and Pediatric (scoliosis and kyphosis) Spinal Deformities, Spinal Infections, and Tumours.
