She has spent few years training and working in the U.K. After qualifying from Bangalore Medical College, she qualified with a D.C.H (Diploma in Child Health) at the Institute of Child Health, Madras and obtained a CCT (certificate of completion of training) in paediatrics (special interest paediatric neurology) following training in the Eastern deanery, United Kingdom.
Following this she was a fellow in paediatric neurology at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge and completed modules in the BPNA distance learning course in paediatric neurology.
During this time, she was honorary visiting specialist in paediatric neurology at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.
During her time as a consultant in U.K, she conducted paediatric epilepsy clinics, paediatric neurology clinics, paediatric neurodevelopmental clinics, and multidisciplinary clinics for children with cerebral palsy.
She also conducted clinics at Churchill Park School, a special school for children with neuro-disabilities.
After relocating to Bangalore, she has developed substantial experience in tropical paediatric neurological problems including acute paediatric neurology.
During her time in U.K, she has led many audit projects including the national Epilepsy 12 audit to improve the quality of clinical care for children with epilepsy.
She is passionate about teaching and is currently faculty for British Paediatric Neurology Association Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET1) courses and Paediatric EEG basics for paediatricians (PEBP) workshops.
She was โUniversity of Cambridge Senior Clinical tutorโ and hence lead for the placement of Cambridge Medical students in paediatrics.
She was an educational supervisor for postgraduate trainees in paediatrics.
She is very keen on evidence-based clinical care and has written many local clinical guidelines and was also a Delphi Panellist for the RCPCH Stroke in Childhood guideline.
She is currently involved in the training programme for DNB residents, PICU and NICU fellows at Rainbow Childrenโs Hospital.
After relocating to Bangalore, she was a member of the organising team, scientific committee which organised the successful 10thย AOCN (Association of Child Neurology) annual conference in Bengaluru in February/March 2020.
She has been faculty at many national and international conferences.
