Dr. Sabhyata Gupta is a renowned gynecologist in India who is known for pioneering work in robotic gynecological surgery for both cancerous and benign conditions. With over 31 years of experience, she specializes in gynecology, colposcopy, advanced gynecology laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and
Robotic gynecological surgery : Robotic gynecological surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses robotic arms to perform gynecological procedures. The surgeon sits at a console, manipulating the robotic arms and instruments with high precision. This type of surgery offers several advantages over traditional open surgery, including smaller incisions, less blood loss, reduced pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery.
Colposcopy: A colposcopy is a visual examination of the cervix and surrounding tissues using a colposcope, a magnifying instrument with a light source. This procedure is used to screen for cervical cancer and other precancerous conditions. During a colposcopy, the cervix is cleansed with a vinegar solution, which causes abnormal cells to turn white. The colposcope is then used to examine the cervix in detail. If any abnormal cells are seen, a biopsy may be taken.
Advanced gynecology laparoscopy : Advanced gynecology laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses a laparoscope, a thin, lighted tube, to view the inside of the abdomen and pelvis and perform gynecological procedures. The laparoscope is inserted through a small incision in the abdomen. The surgeon can then use other instruments inserted through additional small incisions to perform the surgery. Advanced gynecology laparoscopy is used for a variety of procedures, including Hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), Myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids), Ovarian cystectomy (removal of ovarian cysts), and Endometriosis surgery.
Gynaec oncology : Gynaec oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with cancers of the female reproductive system. This includes cancers of the cervix, uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and vagina. Gynecological oncologists are surgeons who are specially trained to diagnose and treat these cancers. Treatment for gynecological cancers may include surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.
Fibroid Removal : This is a surgical procedure to remove fibroids, which are non-cancerous growths that develop in the uterus. Depending on the size, location, and number of fibroids, various techniques can be employed, including robotic-assisted myomectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy, or open myomectomy.
Ovarian Cyst Removal : A surgical procedure to remove cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs that can form on the ovaries. Most ovarian cysts are benign (non-cancerous) and can be removed laparoscopically or robotically. However, some cysts may require open surgery, depending on their characteristics and complexity.
