• Dr. Majeed is a trained Cancer Surgeon with vast experience not only in Surgical Oncology [Gastrointestinal, Thoracic, Hepatopancreaticobiliary] but also in Breast, Head & Neck and Gynaec Oncology.

• After completing his medical graduation from Karnataka University Dharwad and post-graduation in General Surgery from University of Mumbai, he pursued 3 - year Residency training programme in Surgical Oncology as Senior Registrar (I, II, III) followed by 6-month Specialist Registrar in the Thoracic Oncology and 4 month Fellowship in Breast Oncology at the prestigious Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital Parel, Mumbai.

• He then did one year training in Thoracic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery at Asian Institute of Oncology Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mumbai.

• Then he successfully completed fellowship in Hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery and Liver Transplantation under Prof K. C. Tan at the Asian Centre for Liver Disease & Transplantation (Singapore).

• On his return to India, he joined where he underwent three years Superspeciality training leading to award of the degree of Diplomate National Board [D.N.B. Surgical Oncology].

• He is the co-author of chapters in Textbook and has quite a few National & International publications to his credit.

• He has an extensive experience in performing various procedures like Gastrointestinal and Upper G. I. Cancers: Esophagus, Stomach, & Colorectal Cancers. Hepatobiliary: Major Liver Resections, Radical Cholecystectomy, Whipples Procedure & Distal Pancreatic splenectomy Thoracic Cancers: Lung, Thymic & Tracheal & Laryngeal Resection  Laryngopharyngectomy with reconstructions.
