- His aesthetic surgery experience is based on minimally invasive techniques, for which he received two awards from the German Society of Surgeons: the Johannes - von - Mikulicz - Radecki - Georg Kelling award for
Laparo-endoscopic Surgery in 2005 and the Felicien-Steichen-Foerderpreis award for Endoscopic Surgery in 2006.
- He is a member of the Arab Medical Union in Europe, the German Society of Surgery, the Society of Computer and Telemetric Assisted Surgery, the German Society of Visceral Surgery, the German Society of Endocrine Surgery, the German Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery, the European Foundation for Digestive Surgery, the European Foundation for Endoscopic Surgery, and the European Society of Endoscopic Surgery.
- In addition, he established the first surgical skills lab at a German university.
