• He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (2002- Medicine in English). Between 2003 and 2006, he conducted scientific and clinical research at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas, two of the nation's top medical schools. He passed the USMLE (the United States Medical Licensing Examination) exams during this time period and was awarded the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) Certificate, which is equivalent to a license to practice medicine in the United States (05.08.2005).

• In 2006, upon his return to his native country, he completed his general surgery residency at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. He earned the "Diplôme d'Université de Chirurgie Laparoscopique" diploma from the University of Strasbourg in the field of Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery in 2015 through his studies and training.

• He passed the European Board of Endocrine Surgery examination in May 2018 held in Amsterdam and was awarded the European Board of Surgery Qualification Examination (Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes). 

• He is one of only five surgeons in Turkey who holds this certification in all areas of endocrine surgery (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal gland, and neuroendocrine tumors).

• He was appointed Associate Professor in December 2018 and has a special interest in advanced endocrine surgery procedures such as thyroid cancer and disease surgery, parathyroid surgery, adrenal gland surgery, breast disease and cancer follow-up and treatment, and oncoplastic breast surgery. 

• Simultaneously, he performs a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, drawing on his more than a decade of experience performing laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries and endoscopic procedures. He has successfully performed over 2000 surgical procedures in these areas.
