About Dr. Gaurav Kharya
He graduated from Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Following that, he completed his post-graduate DCH in Pediatrics at Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
He is credited with performing the first haploidentical bone marrow transplant for sickle cell disease in India, as well as the first invitro TCR alpha beta CD 19 depleted haploidentical BMT in a 5-month-old baby with severe combined immunodeficiency, making him one of India's youngest bone marrow transplant recipients.
He and his colleagues have performed almost 700 transplants for various illnesses so far.
He has extensive expertise in transplanting children with benign or malignant blood problems, immunological illnesses, and other conditions both domestically and internationally.
He has given several talks at national and international conferences and has numerous articles published in national and international publications.
