The Turkish Government currently has a provision of two types of medical visas:

01. Medical visa, to be obtained from Consulate of Turkey

02. eVisa, which can be received online before your arrival

Steps to apply online Medical visa or eVisa to Turkey

01. Visit the site https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/, select your country and your visa type.

02. Fill the visa application form and take out a print copy for future references.

03. After submitting the application form and scanned copies of the required documents, you need to wait for the visa approval.

04. You will get an email and will be able to see an option of “download eVisa”.

05. You will need to have a print copy of this visa to show at the airport on arrival.

Eligibility criteria to get a Medical Visa for Turkey

01. Citizens of all countries except Gabon and Zambia need a residence permit or a valid visa from at least one of these nations  - UK, Schegen zone, US, or Ireland.

02. All citizens except India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Phillipies must travel with the airlines that has agreement with the Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Onur Air, and AtlasGlobal.

03. Residents of Egypt can also fly with flights by EgyptAir.

04. Adequate financial assurance for a return flight and to hold all expenditure related to the medical treatment as well as cost of living.

Essential documents needed to get a Medical Visa for Turkey

01. Original passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the return date and its colored photocopy.

02. The passport must have a minimum of two blank pages.

03. Copies of old passports that have previous travel information, filled and signed by the applicant.

04. Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi-matt finish.

05. Medical treatment letter and patient acceptance letter from one of the hospitals in Republic of Turkey.

06. A cover letter from the applicant having the applicants name, passport details, reason of travel and duration of the visit. The letter must be signed by the authorized signatory and addressed to the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey.

07. Confirmation by the hotel and confirmed return air ticket with the travel itinerary.
